The Academy is cooperating for the 14th year with local charities to support official Oscar Night(R) viewing parties throughout the country. The Los Angeles charity viewing party is one of 49 official parties, sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, that will be held across the country on Oscar Night(R) This will be the first Oscar Night(R) America party sanctioned by the Academy to be held on downtown Los Angeles and for the general public to attend.

Oscar Night(R) America Los Angeles charity celebration will be held at the Union Station in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, February 25, 2007. Doors open at 3:00 PM. Guests arriving early will enjoy local ABC-7 pre-Academy red carpet interviews beginning at 4 PM and the “live” viewing of the Academy Awards(R) telecast and on a large screen beginning at 5:00 PM.

“At the Union Station, guests will also enjoy appetizers, food, coffee and deserts, an art exhibit, charity casino tables, memorabilia’s and much more. Special invited guest and Hollywood celebrities will be in attendance.
